Michael Heeden

Michael B. Heeden, President of FCM Hotels, is a 30-year veteran of the hospitality industry who specializes in hotel operations, sales, revenue, and asset management, and has experience with a variety of properties nationwide. 

Previously, Michael served as President of Winston Hospitality, Inc. for 16 years where he directed a portfolio of hotels, ranging from focus-service to resorts. Prior to that, Michael oversaw multiple focus-service and full-service hotels during his time as Regional Director of Operations with Alliance Hospitality and General Manager with Interstate Hotels & Resorts, including golf course management for Interstate’s Doral Golf Division. Michael has in-depth experience working with all the major hotel franchise companies, including Hilton, Marriott and IHG, as well as independent casino hotels in the Native American gaming industry. 

A North Carolina native, Michael graduated with a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Appalachian State University. He and his wife Heather reside in Durham, North Carolina and have three children: Sydney, Ashley, and Michael Jr.
